Over the past year, we worked closely as a legislature to begin crafting and developing policies to benefit Utahns now and for the next 10, 20, 30 years. Through this process, we determined five ambitious priorities to guide us as we chart the Utah Way Forward:

• Conserve, optimize, and preserve Utah’s water
• Keep life affordable for Utahns
• Drive innovation in education
• Promote sustainable growth, rather than rapid expansion
• Make large-scale, strategic investments that are sure to have generational impacts.

While many of these goals cannot fully be accomplished in a single legislative session, I’m happy to report that we made important strides this session and I feel strongly that the people of our state are better off because of the successes we had in the 2022 General Session.
